A graduate of the University of Leeds and BPP Law School, Matthew qualified as an advocate in 2012 and joined Long and Humphrey in 2016.
Matthew specialises in corporate and commercial law and regularly acts for international financial institutions, corporate service providers and law firms as well as local businesses and individuals.
Matthew has experience in advising upon a broad range of non-contentious corporate and commercial matters, including company and asset acquisitions in both regulated and non-regulated sectors, shareholder arrangements, acting for both lenders and borrowers in asset finance arrangements, regulatory advice, aviation, shipping and advising start-ups and established firms in the e-gaming and biomedical sectors.
Whilst his practise focuses mainly on corporate and commercial matters, Matthew also has experience in advising on commercial lease transactions and associated landlord and tenant issues.
Prior to commencing his legal studies, Matthew worked for a number of years in owner-managed businesses and in the financial services industry, gaining experience which enables him to provide his clients with commercial and practical advice.
