Shona qualified as a Manx advocate in November 2001. Having joined the firm Dickinson Cruickshank in 1999 after law college in Chester, she remained there for ten years working closely with Mark Humphrey in the Private Client and Property Departments, latterly as a senior associate.

Shona developed a reputation as a reliable and efficient member of the team, happy in both the office and the courtroom. Her areas of practice are all aspects of commercial and residential property work, including agricultural tenancies and planning matters. She has also acted in a number of contested licensing cases. Shona’s past portfolio includes advising on the lease arrangements for a leading telecommunications firm.

In addition to property matters, Shona has an interest in employment law and a depth of experience in advising private individuals on wider issues such as estate planning, enduring powers of attorney, wills and probate.
